Ciracas SDA Unit Head, Ika Nurfitria Sari conveyed, previously deogone powder has been used to eliminate unpleasant smell from Kali Item (black river) that mostly caused by liquid waste and rotting garbage on the channel.
"We use it to eliminate microbes of putrid liquid waste in water. This powder is made from calcium oxide, rice husk and wood fungus," she explained, Tuesday (8/6).
RT 04/09 Ciracas Head, Syahlani (51) appreciates East Jakarta SDA Unit personnel who are proactive in following up resident's request.
"We often smell unpleasant smell from this channel. Especially when wind blows hard. It makes residents of RT 04, 09, 15, 12, 06, 11 and RT 10 uncomfortable," he stated.
